Don’t be Deceived

by Stanley Malone, Wilcox SP

Don’t be deceived by the stripes on the clothing of the confined: those who live away from society, who live and die within the dreary walls of prison, who are enclosed by the fences of a world of which some cannot conceive.
Don’t be deceived into believing that in prison dwell only the worst of unmanly men, suffering the torments of their past, built on resentments or insecurities.  Prison is a world where many souls are crushed, yet many are strengthened by the power of God, they become the best of men.
The isolated cells standing side by side, with nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.  Inside this prison of hate and bitterness is where you distinguish the men of stripes.  Many are weakened, yet, for many the mind is strengthened.
For the thousands that refuse to accept and change their wrongs and weaknesses, the thousands who blame others of this world for their misgivings and mature only through body:
There are still thousands that change and stand, strong and proud they do stand. And you may be startled by their humbleness, their understanding and their soundness of mind and spirit…
Remember if you will, that the greatest leaders of mankind (wearing such names as Martin, Malcolm, Mandela and Mohomad) through mighty acts of revelations and agape expectations, which kindled the most compounding and astounding movements throughout history, all have ascended from the prison pit.
And just as many whom themselves could have been great, sadly too many have perished within without awakening to the real purpose of which they are born.  And that would be to rediscover and to share the most valuable and precious gift in which the creator himself specifically gave, and that is the mind.
Don’t be deceived!
